Spun "Alger" silk thread for hand embroidery from Au Ver à Soie Paris, in a range of soft pastel colors inspired by the colors found in Marie Antoinette's bedroom at Versailles. Loosely plyed, this silk floss separates easily for work as fine as 1-2 strands. Bright and soft with an excellent tensile strength and smooth twist for snag-free needle working. The unrivaled quality of their raw silk means it does not abrade easily. And yes, it's colorfast and washable!

Au Ver à Soie silks have been made by the same family in Paris since 1820.
